Pune's flats are comfortable but compact, especially in popular areas like Kothrud, Baner, Aundh, Wakad, Hinjewadi, Viman Nagar, Kharadi and Hadapsar. The good news is that you can create a lovely party look without using much space. Here are space-saving ideas.
Vertical decoration
Use wall space and ceiling height. Tall balloon garlands, hanging streamers and ceiling balloons give the room volume without blocking movement.
Compact backdrop options
- A slim balloon column beside the cake table
- A half arch in a corner
- A foil curtain with a name banner
- A wall panel with a few balloon clusters
Multi-purpose furniture styling
Use an existing console or dining table as the cake table. A cloth, a few flowers and a small banner are enough to dress it up.
Balcony and terrace options
Pune's pleasant weather suits balcony and terrace parties. Use fairy lights and lightweight garlands, and secure items properly in the breeze.
Themes that suit small spaces
- Minimal pastel with a white base
- Boho neutral with beige and dusty rose
- Simple cartoon backdrop for kids
- Elegant metallic accents for adults
Monsoon planning
Pune monsoons can be heavy. For terrace or open space events, keep an indoor backup. Humid air can also affect some materials, so check with your decorator.
Society and logistics tips
- Inform the society office about the vendor visit
- Plan lift and parking for equipment
- Keep the walkway clear for guests
